MMS on iPhone 3GS
AT&T enabled the MMS (multi-media message service) capabilities on the iPhone 3GS on September 25th, if you haven’t taken advantage of this cool feature here’s how to enable it:
1. Attach you iPhone to your computer and let it complete a sync or backup.
2. On the Summary screen click on “check for update” – you’ll get a message saying there is a carrier settings update, choose to download and install this.
3. After the update has been installed (it should not take too long) turn your iPhone completely off and then back on – the MMS functionality will be enabled.
Now when you write a text message you’ll see a camera icon on the bottom left above the keyboard. Click on the camera and you’ll be able to choose from existing video to embed in the message or to shoot a new one!
A few Eye-Candy tricks for Vista and 7
Did you know there are some cool graphics features built in to the Windows Vista and Windows 7 interfaces? If you use the keyboard shortcuts to switch between windows, such as ALT+TAB try using the windows key (with the Window’s icon on it) plus TAB to change windows – it will bring up a slick scrolling look to let you switch windows in style.
The windows key can also be used to activate items in your taskbar. Hold in the windows key and then choose a number from your keyboard, whichever number corresponds to the items in your taskbar will be launched! This also works for minimizing those same windows.
